Lightning Bug came out to install a ceiling fan in my daughter and SIL's bedroom. It is an older condo unit and there was no light in the ceiling, so wire had to be run as well as installing the fan I had purchased for them. Steve and Jake did an amazing job. I've had a lot of projects done over the years (hence my involvement in this young couple's job :) and this was one of the easiest projects I've seen done. They came, quoted, and completed it all in a few hours. They were on time, professional, friendly, and when they were done it was amazing! No mess to clean up, done exactly as expected, and I thought the price was very fair! They let us know up front there would be some holes in the drywall, but they were minimal and will be easy to take care of. Such a great experience that I'm going to have them come do work on my house :) Highly recommended!!

We had what I consider an emergency, basically meltdown of our very old electrical panel and all at our old house on Sunday. I did panicked calling around to find someone who could come out same day to help. LBE was the third place I called but the first one who was responsive and had someone at my door in what felt like less than an hour. Everyone that I dealt with was not only professional and knowledgeable but so friendly and kind. Highly recommend!!

I Could Not Be More Happy With the Service May 22, 2026

Christian and Hunter installed an outlet for our TV above the fireplace. The job ended up being more challenging than initially planned, and they made it so easy! Christian also noticed we didn’t have a surge protector on our breaker box (something our inspector didn’t even notice), so they installed that as well. I could not be more happy with the service. Also, a tiny animal was found dead in our attic, and Christian removed it for us! We are extremely grateful. I also have to thank Heather and Ashley in the office for scheduling the appointment. They are the sweetest! I knew we were in good hands from those calls. Thank you all for everything you do!

Amazing experience. Steve doesn't stop until the job gets done! Gave him the punch list of replacing several fixtures, adding an outlet, mounting a large flat screen, changing out garage carriage lights, and replacing a fan that is on a porch with 18-foot ceiling - he tackled it like a pro. Brayden was his assistant and helped him with everything he needed so Steve could stay at task. Both gentlemen were very professional, knowledgeable, and kind. It's not often that I can give a review that deserves well over a 5-star review and this is one of those cases. I had the time of my life talking and learning about electricity from what I would have to say was a qualified expert. Both Josh and Hunter were engaging and more than willing to teach and share their knowledge with me, polite, respectful, and OMG just general conversation that I had been thirsting for for a very long time. Six hours flew by and I really hated to see them leave, cleaned up their mess, and left it in better condition than when they found it. I would highly recommend the dynamic duo of Josh and Hunter, you won't be disappointed and if you are a talker, Josh is the man to engage with. Again I can't emphasize the quality and explaining of things in layman's terms. I would love to sit down and have dinner and a beer with them anytime. I know this is a lengthy review and I am already trying to cut it short. My most sincere thanks to Lightning Bug for sending Josh and Hunter to service my needs, I will most certainly tell my friends and others about the top shelf service I received. I am a talker and love people so this was a real treat to engage these two for six hours. They deserve a raise for putting up with me for six hours, LOL. For those that are reading this, don't hesitate to ask for this pair for any and all electrical needs.

We called Lightning Bug to bring our daughter’s new home up to date. There were many issues left by the previous owners. I asked for Steve, who had worked on my house. Steve did an excellent job. He and his helper Cairo did a thorough inspection. He made recommendations, and we chose a whole house upgrade. Steve and Cairo did a wonderful job, on both small and large problems. I feel confident that my daughter and her fiancé now have a safe and efficient electric system. Would definitely hire Lightning Bug again!
