For more than 25 years, we’ve worked in Marietta and the surrounding communities—places where we’re not just service providers but neighbors. That proximity makes community involvement feel less like a program and more like a natural part of how we operate.
Projects connected with the Love Train, Cat Cottage in Atlanta, and WOW Ministries reflect how we show up when there’s an opportunity to contribute beyond a service call.
This video shares a few of the local projects that have shaped that commitment.
Electrical Work With a Purpose Behind It
Electrical work is often invisible once it’s done, but it can shape the places where people gather, care for animals, or find encouragement. Our work on the Love Train—a vintage Airstream connected with Children Helping Children—and at Cat Cottage in Atlanta gave us a practical way to contribute to spaces that matter. We’ve also supported local industry events through NARI and connected with WOW Ministries, whose work focuses on domestic abuse awareness and recovery.
Giving Back to What Sustains Us
We take seriously the idea that “If you have the opportunity to do something positive, then you should do it.” Community involvement isn’t separate from our day-to-day work—it’s how a family-owned business responds to the support it receives from the people around it. As the video puts it, “The community has been so great for us,” and we’re grateful for every chance to return that care through local events and projects.
The Same Standard, Whether on a Job or in the Community
When customers invite our team into a home or business, they’re extending trust. We carry that same sense of responsibility into our community work, where showing up thoughtfully matters just as much as showing up on time. Supporting local projects reinforces the connection we feel to Marietta and the surrounding communities—a reminder that the places we serve are also the places where our neighbors live, work, and build their lives.
We’re thankful to be part of a community that has welcomed us for more than 25 years. For electrical work at your home or business, reach Lightning Bug Electric at (404) 471-3847.
